Dr. Ali Zia is a highly experienced eye surgeon with additional specialized fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Ali Zia was awarded the fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS).
As an eye surgeon, in addition to other areas of expertise, Dr. Ali Zia has extensive surgical experience in performing all kinds of cataract surgeries, routine and complex, in both children and adults. He is extremely experienced in doing surgery both in multiple centers in Pakistan and internationally.
In the area of vitreo-retinal expertise, Dr. Ali Zia’s areas of interest are in medical and surgical management of retinal disease, specifically in treating diabetic retinal eye diseases, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, uveitis, trauma and hereditary retinal diseases. He has published extensively in areas that impact clinical care.
Additionally, Dr. Ali has also trained and is extremely proficient in treating and managing simple as well as complex orbital and oculoplastic diseases and has excellent experience with managing tumors and cancers in the eye, eyelid and orbit area.
